Our Business

We seek to empower Māori landowners with comprehensive knowledge, diverse alternatives, and expert support to make informed strategic decisions about our land and how forestry in its many forms including native forests, can assist in delivering valuable outcomes socially, environmentally, and commercially.

Our emphasis is on awakening underutilised Māori land as well as providing support to landowners from across the spectrum because we believe forests provide a complementary pathway to saving our planet and creating intergenerational social and economic value.

Our Services

We have been fortunate to receive investment enabling Whenua Oho to support and assist Māori landowners into forestry opportunities if this is the direction they wish to travel.

We are forming a suite of investors who will have similar aspirations to the landowner to establish a form of joint venture partnership if investment is necessary.  We are also forming a suite of forestry management capability that can assist with feasibility and operational execution where required, and our service extends to bringing these three components together via legal and commercial structures to execute the agreed strategy.

Our advisory and general support services are free to Landowners and if the direction of travel is ultimately not towards afforestation, we can assist in directing landowners to experts and assistance in alternate industries.
